By law, you must be 18 years old to use a sunbed.

We adhere to the Challenge 25 proof of age scheme, so if we think you look younger than 25 years old, we will ask you for ID before you can register with us. This must be physical photographic ID; we do not accept copies or images shown on a phone.

Our staff are acting under guidance of the law and we will not tolerate any censure regarding this matter.

Only tanning creams approved by The Sunbed Association are allowed on our sunbeds.

Certain tanning creams contain ingredients that permanently damage the bed acrylics, leading to extremely costly repairs.

Anyone found using a banned cream following an initial warning will be removed as a customer from all Sunglow stores and will lose any purchases without a refund.

Always check your cream with a member of staff prior to use if you're unsure.

Wearing eye protection is strongly advised when using sunbeds as UV rays can cause immediate irritation and long-term damage to your eye health.

Free reusable goggles are available in reception. Please remember to return these prior to leaving.

Children are welcome to wait in the reception area while you use the sunbed, as long as they are deemed capable of looking after themselves and do not cause any disruption to staff or other customers. We may be forced to end your tanning session early if disruption occurs and you will not be able to redeem those minutes.

Under no circumstances can a child accompany you into the tanning room.

Staff do not accept any responsibility for any children left in the reception area.

Sunglow has a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding any abuse, both verbal and phyical, towards our staff.

Anyone behaving in such a way will face a permanent ban from all stores and lose any purchases without a refund.

Please be kind and respect all staff, and your fellow tanners, always.

The last time to use a sunbed at all stores is 30 minutes prior to the closing time of the store you visit, eg. If the closing time is 9pm, last beds is 8.30pm.

The last half an hour is for staff to give the shop and all equipment a deep clean ready for the following day.
