Frequently Asked Questions
By law, you must be 18 years old to use UV tanning beds.
Under the Sunbeds Regulation Act 2010, it is illegal for commercial salons in the UK to allow anyone under the age of 18 to use any UV tanning equipment. We adhere to the Challenge 25 proof of age scheme, so if a member of staff thinks you look younger than 25 years old, they will ask you for photo ID before you can register with us.
Pop into any store and register in minutes with a member of the team.

We will also ask you a few questions about your skin type and current tanning routine so we can start your UV tanning journey in the safest possible way.

Everyone has different skin so everyone's tanning journey will be different, and it all depends on whether you are building a tan or maintaining colour, but as a general rule we advise a session every 48-72 hours.
Avoid leaving longer than 72 hours between sessions as this is when skin renews and any progress you've made will start to fade.
The process is different for each person, but with the right preparation and aftercare, colour should start to develop within 6-8 regular sessions. However, people with very fair skin may find that it takes longer.
No, we do not allow sharing or transferring of minutes for any reason.
Stand ups are often said to be "better" as they provide a more even tan due to full 360 exposure, in comparison to lie downs where there is more chance of you getting white bits. But it is ultimately personal preference. We recommend alternating between both for the best possible results.
This is entirely your decision and not something we comment on. Please speak to your midwife for advice.
All of these treatments involve a needle piercing the skin, so they are essentially open wounds which need a completely clean, cool environment to heal. Therefore, we recommend waiting at least two weeks after having treatment before using a sunbed.
For more specific aftercare, please speak to your practitioner.
